The description makes him sound like Data from Star Trek. He is a sentient android, pursues the goal of becoming more human, tries to understand human emotion, etc. (Data, that is.)

it would have been nice to have 2 mesmers but have you seen the prices of mesmer runes at the trader?

*all* go for 100 each

if that doesnt speak for unpopularity of mesmers, then I dont know what does

Why would it suck, I'm almost completely unlocked again I'm at 13k faction and can hold 55. I'd unlock him for 50 if I could, more overall spent faction.

Even if they lower it to 3 or 6k it doesnt suck for me that i paid 50. I wouldnt have anything to spend them on anyway, being so close to UAX. And i like a higher Total Faction earned. The fact that i won't be gaining any faction for long months till next chapter saddens me.

Cause rumor was that you would be able to change his primary, thats the only reason he would work different from other heroes, nothing else if hes stuck as a ritualist thats cool but sucks that we wont get the hero that can change his primary.

I think we'd have to wait till the event begins to actually know how Razah works. But funny thing is ANet could probably have waited till they loaded up the update to include Razah. Anyway, I hope those guys that have gotten Razah got a refund for faction points when the update comes.

As things stand now, we have two each of every "major" profession (warrior, monk, ele, necro, ranger) and one each of every "minor" profession (mesmer, assassin, ritualist, paragon, dervish). This covers all the bases pretty nicely. If there's a mission where you NEED three of a major profession or two of a minor, I'd hope you'd take it seriously enough to do it with at least one other human (which doubles your hero pool for each profession).

For equality's sake it would have been nice to have a second mesmer, but... well, I think Ninna said it best

As for Razah not being a "variable" profession... not sure what I can say about that. Yeah, the Manuscripts and some 3rd-party previews said Razah would have a variable profession, and he doesn't. They also said we would have an elite mission and improved LFG function, and we don't (well, we'll have the mission tomorrow ). Plans change.

While not impossible, it would seem fairly strange to have a ritualist unlocked at 50k faction. Though a variable profession I could see at that (still high IMO).

According to gail sightings he is a ritualist.

Oh well, I am almost entirely PvE so not a big deal. Well, unless you have to go all the way through the elite mission, which I also wouldn't put it past them. For a variable profession probably worth it, for a ritualist - eh.

Ah I see now, here is my input on this. Rzaha probably was hard to work with originally, because of the “Variable Professions” being a bit harder to implement for A-net. So since so many people thought he was going to be a Ritualist anyways, they made him into one. Furthermore it saved them a good amount of time and effort, on working out the many obstacles if he stayed to original design. In the end the people would be satisfied with this result.

My question is what, was his appearance before you guys made him just a plain old Ritualist? Also what was the major programming flaw, into making him a hero that could hold “Variable Professions”?

It's very sad that he is just a plain ritualist...
First i had the urge to unlock him, but now i don't even think about it....

Variable proffesion has been kicked into the recycle bin and so has been the idea of having to work for something cool....

And he isn't good enough for people who don't have factions, because you don't have many "good" ritualist skills....

*crosses fingers that razah is secretly still a variable proffesion* (would be cool in pvp too ^^)
